Habit #2: Don’t Skip Breakfast
I know that sometimes the rush in the morning can make it hard to sit down at the table and eat a truly healthy breakfast. But if your kids see that you’re not finding the time for the most important meal of the day, they are going to think they don’t have to either.
My older son is not a big eater to begin with. If I didn’t make him meals throughout the day, he would probably go the whole day without realizing he was even hungry. So I make it a point now to sit with him at the table in the morning and eat our breakfast together (luckily, I stay home with my kids so I am able to do this).
For those of you on the go – Shakeology is a great option for probably the healthiest breakfast you could feed yourself or your kids. Blend some up for you, blend up half for the little ones, pour it in a cup and be on your way! Short on time doesn’t have to mean short on nutrition and fast food doesn’t always have to come from a drive-thru line 🙂
